The Student Conservation Association and Friends of the Forest Preserves are hiring adult Crew Leaders and High School students for the Chicago Conservation Corps. Applications received before April 24 will be given highest consideration.

Each adult Crew Leader will co-lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 10 to 12 high school youth, ages 15 to 19 for six weeks, from June 29 to August 7. Preliminary training will take place earlier, in June. Crew Leaders will earn $13 to $15 an hour, depending on experience, and will also plan and lead weekly educational field days. To be considered, email a cover letter and resume to zach@fotfp.org and submit an application on the SCA website: http://www.thesca.org/chicago-community-conservation-crew-leaders.

High School Students will join a crew of 10 to 12 students and two adult leaders to perform ecological restoration and trail maintenance in the Forest Preserves of Cook County for six weeks, from June 29 to August 7. Students will earn $8.25 per hour. The first week will involve training and workshops, and every Friday, crews will travel to various sites throughout the region to learn more about the local ecology and environment.
